High-Capacity Planters:  These are Nazarene leaders we invite to participate in the HICP Project as a potential High-Capacity Planter.  They must pass both an informal and formal assessment for entrance into the Leadership Residency Program.  They help raise their own support for the Residency Program, which is 9-18 months, full-time, serving in one of our HICP Residency Churches.  A large High Impact Church Plant is a plant designed to break 250 in attendance on the opening Sunday, with at least 50% of the crowd coming from the unchurched community.

Developers Team:  Developers are Nazarene leaders we invite to the table to help us shape the High Impact Church Planting Project.  The qualifications to join the Developers Team is that a Nazarene leader must have successfully planted/led a Nazarene church averaging 500+ in attendance and have a heart to multiply HICP churches.  Developers are offered an invitation from the existing HICP Leadership Team to participte.  Participation is a privilege and there are no guarantees of perpetual inclusion or participation in the HICP Project.  Persons may be invited on or off the Developers Team based on their on-going leadership performance and contribution.

Residency Churches:  A select few churches participate in the High Impact Church Planting Project as a Residency Church.  The qualifications to become a Residency Church include the attendance and financial capability of launching a High Impact Church Plant multi-site campus or launching a Church Plant (250+) out of the Residency Church.  We require Residency Churches to design their ministries to multiply, with the expectation that at least 50% of the people who attend the new church plant or multi-site campus will be from the unchurched community.  The HICP Project currently has five nationally-qualified Residency Churches in operation.  For more information about these churches, click on their link below.

The HICP Project is still in its early stages and we have not yet standardized our national Residency Program process.  We operate with high levels of trust with our Residency Churches because the CULTURE of each of these churches is more important to us than just the "academic information" we share in the Residency Program itself.  Participation in any one of the above churches is GUARANTEED to change an emerging leader's life!  Our Residency Programs include such things as: 1) Leading Yourself, 2) Leading Others, 3) Leading Leaders, 4) Leading Departments, 5) Leading Ministries and 6) Leading Organizations.  To view a sample Leadership Residency Program, click here.

High-Capacity Leaders: These are Nazarene leaders we invite to participate in the High Impact Church Planting Project as a High-Capacity Leader.  These pastors/leaders currently do not have a call to become a High-Capacity Planter but they have high leadership capacity capabilities, they are committed to the Church of the Nazarene and leadership multiplication and they have a burning desire to grow and develop churches that bring great glory to God.  Our High-Capacity Leaders Team is organized into two groups: 1) Large Church Leader Mentors and 2) Large Church Emerging Leaders.

Leader Mentors are individuals who have distinguished themselves with a life-time of outstanding large church service to the Church of the Nazarene and are highly committed to leadership multiplication.  Our Emerging Leaders are a group of leaders who have demonstrated capacity for development.  God has begun to birth within their spirit a vision to grow their current ministry into a large church, potentially one that reaches 1000+ or more in attendance and their vision includes multiplication!  Every person on our team of High-Capacity Leaders are ALL hungry to learn, grow and develop better large church leadership skills.  Participation on the Nazarene High-Capacity Leaders Team is a privilege and there are no guarantees of perpetual inclusion or participation.  Persons may be invited on or off the High-Capacity Leaders Team based on their on-going leadership performance and contribution.

Partner Churches 250-499: Every stage of the large church development process is critical to learn. The 232 churches we have in the USA/Canada Region that are currently averaging 250-499 are an indispensable part of multiplying the Kingdom!  We work with a number of these high-capacity Large Church Pastors/Leaders as they design their ministries to multiply new leaders, new ministries, new campuses and new churches.  A number of these leaders are already Large Church Leader Mentors who are committed to leadership multiplication.  Even if they do not become a Residency Church, they fuel the multiplication movement GREATLY by raising up new leaders and new ministries.  Many of the future leaders for the Leadership Development pipeline come from existing large churches.  Through the HICP website, we aim to help build win-win relationships all across the USA/Canada Region.  Partner Churches 250-499  will benefit GREATLY from networking and learning from other existing large churches, as well as learning from what the HICP Project captures, catalogues and is able to communicate with them.

Partner Churches 500-899:  Every stage of the large church development process is critical to learn. The 75 churches we have in the USA/Canada Region that are currently averaging 500-899 are an indispensable part of multiplying the Kingdom! Partner Churches 500-899 will benefit GREATLY from networking and learning from other existing large churches, as well as learning from what the HICP Project captures, catalogues and is able to communicate with them.

Partner K-Churches:  There are currently 38 churches in the USA/Canada Region that currently average 900-3,000 in worship attendance.  Once a church passes 900 in average attendance, we consider it a K-Church because it has already begun to experience the challenges that come with having over 1,000 in attendance.  These churches are the largest Nazarene churches we have in the USA/Canada Region.  Every January these gifted leaders retreat away together to share best practices, and participate in peer-to-peer learning.  Many of these churches, for decades, have had a commitment to raise up high-capacity leaders who are multiplying new ministries, new campuses and sometimes new churches.  Numbers of these leaders are making new commitments to become a Level 5 leader committed to Kingdom multiplication.  Future leaders for the Leadership Development pipeline come from these K-Churches.  Through the HICP website, we aim to foster win-win relationships between our new High Impact Church Plants and our existing K-Churches. Partner K-Churches can benefit greatly from networking and sharing their learning with the next generation of K-Church leaders that God is raising up among us.

Partner Districts:  Interested USA/Canada Districts are invited to participate in the High Impact Church Planting Project as a Partner District.  The qualifications to become a Partner District include a commitment to participate in the development and delivery of the High Impact Church Planting Project throughout the USA/Canada Region [being reminded that districts do not plant churches, healthy local churches plant churches!]  Participation is a privilege and there are no guarantees of perpetual inclusion or participation long-term.  Superintendents may be invited on or off the Partner District Team based on their on-going leadership engagement and compliance with established HICP standards.  For more information on our Partner Districts, clink on their link below:
